چکیده
Objective: Interhemispheric arachnoid cysts (IHACs) are a rare congenital malformation arising from the duplication of membrane cerebral meninges associated with malformations corpus callosum. The scope this study is to describe series cases IHACs treated via neuroendoscopy in reference center. Method: description case children diagnosed IHAC undergoing neuroendoscopic treatment (cystoventriculostomy) between 2015 and 2022, describing main clinical manifestations, surgical indication, technique performed. Results: Four IHACs, predominance males (3:1), were included study. Considering Mori Barkovich classification systems, magnetic resonance imaging brain showed multiseptate extra-axial interhemispheric without communication ventricular system all cases. Macrocrania bulging fontanel manifestations that indicated urgent hospitalization for proposed neurosurgical treatment. Conclusion: Signs increased intracranial pressure observed first months life. Endoscopic cystoventriculostomy was performed satisfactory results, showing an option be evaluated classified as or cisterns, according systems.

not easily forgotten, and once pictured in the mind's eye by the aid of an accurate description, there can be but little danger that when thereafter encountered they might be mistaken for anything else. Descriptions of such cysts abound in the records of most asylums, and it may be well to open -what I have to say regarding them by quoting a description from the archives of the West Riding Asyl...

Intracranial arachnoid cysts constitute 1% of space-occupying lesions in humans.1 The incidence of the condition in dogs is unknown. Only 6 reports describing radiographic findings of 13 affected dogs and 1 cat have been published, but detailed information about the clinical presentation of these patients is lacking.2–7 The present report describes the clinical history, diagnostic findings, and...

The patient had no other medical history such as infection, subarachnoid hemorrhage, trauma or malignancies affecting central nervous system. A cranial CT and MR were performed. Cranial imaging revealed multiple arachnoid cysts located in right temporal fossa (Galassi type 2), left temporal fossa extending to the con...

Intracranial arachnoid cyst (IAC) is an infrequently reported developmental disorder seen primarily in small-breed dogs. It usually occurs in the caudal fossa, in the region of the quadrigeminal cistern. Although still considered uncommon, IAC is being recognized more frequently in veterinary medicine, coinciding with the increased availability of magnetic resonance imaging. In this article, cl...
